Our Team

  • Victoria Cuomo, Founder

Founder & owner of Real Pilates Montauk, Victoria (Batha) Cuomo is a third generation classical instructor trained under Alycea Ungaro at Real Pilates in New York City, where she completed her comprehensive certification in 2016. She is also the founder of “The Pilates Snob”, a brand dedicated to classical Pilates.

An avid athlete, Victoria competed for Syracuse University’s D1 Rowing Team in undergrad at Syracuse University. She completed her first (and last?) NYC Marathon in 2022 and continues to run, spin, and crosstrain with Pilates on a weekly basis.

In addition to her Pilates credentials, Victoria also has a Masters in Applied Exercise Physiology from Columbia University and is a Pilates instructor featured on the Alo Moves platform. She recently started working towards her certification in the Egoscue Postural Therapy Method.

  • Aimee Gordon

Aimee received her comprehensive Pilates certification from the Equinox Training Institute in New York, NY in 2017 after completing over 800 hours in training. She completed the Classical Syllabus, a continuing education workshop for certified instructors, with MeJo Wiggin in 2018. During December 2023, Aimee commenced Kathi Ross Nash’s Pilates Professional Advanced Teacher Training (PPATT) program. Aimee continues to augment her education by attending workshops regularly and engaging in personal private sessions weekly.

Aimee’s confidence in Pilates can be attributed to the indelible change it has had on her body. At age 16 after being diagnosed with severe scoliosis that required spinal fusion surgery, Aimee quickly learned that taking efforts to maintain spine health would translate into improving whole body health.

After trying various forms of exercise and physical therapy, she found Pilates was the best activity for building functional strength with an awareness on alignment and increasing mobility. At age 32, Aimee was diagnosed with breast cancer, requiring a bi-lateral mastectomy; however her devotion to the Pilates Method ensured an immediate recovery with no chronic pain. Aimee is a firm believer that the principles of Pilates can help any body become a better body.

  • Megan Guinta

Megan Guinta, a New Jersey native, was dancing as soon as she could walk and has been passionate about movement ever since. She was introduced to GYROTONIC® and Pilates exercise at age 13, which was crucial cross-training for her as an aspiring dancer. These methods built strength and flexibility, helped manage and prevent injuries, and enabled her to earn a BFA in dance at SUNY Purchase, one of the nation’s top dance programs.

Megan believes that movement is medicine. She’s experienced healing through movement time and again in her own life, and in her clients' lives. Megan finds it a joy to play a role in guiding people's healing journeys - to learn alongside them; to witness their growth; to watch them discover more about themselves; to see their grit in the face of challenge; and to celebrate with them as they conquer pain and live more comfortable lives.

She completed her comprehensive Pilates certification at the Kane School in 2022 and is also certified in various levels of GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS.
